Chiastolite also known as Fairy Cross due to its dark brown cross like pattern is one of my favorite crystals for the simple reason that it helps prevent attachments. Attachments are conscious parasitic energies that can be a really problem for anyone who is sensitive to them.  Empaths are particularly prone to picking up attachments, but no one is immune to them and they are everywhere.  

Chiastolite can cleanse and strengthen your aura which is the outer layer of your energy body and the layer that attachments stick to first.  It can also pull in more life force energy for you so it can help you feel more energized as well.
